What To Expect

[itinerary title=”Day 1: Nairobi” number=”1″ style=”default”]Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi). Meet & greet and transfer to your hotel.
Time to rest and get acquainted with the group. The day includes a training session depending on the coach’s plan.
Dinner Experience: Traditional “Nyama Choma” dinner and cultural show featuring exotic meats and African dance performances.
Accommodation: Safari Park Hotel
Facilities: Gym, aerobics room, swimming pool, tennis court, jogging track on hotel grounds, sauna.
Ambience: Start your journey with an immersive introduction to Kenya’s culture and rhythms in a safari-style resort nestled in lush gardens[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 2. Nairobi – Ngong Hills Trekking & City sights” number=”2″ style=”default”]Early departure with packed breakfast for a hike through the Ngong Hills – a scenic trail of 7 hills, round-trip ~16.6 km (one-way option available). Max elevation: 2,460 m, elevation gain: ~960 m from start point.
Estimated trek time: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Lunch at a local café, followed by a visit to the Giraffe Centre and a short city tour (time-permitting).
Return to hotel. Dinner: Standard hotel dinner (no performance this evening).
Experience Highlight: The Ngong Hills offer a rewarding physical challenge and stunning views over the Great Rift Valley – an energizing start to the high-altitude phase of your journey.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 3. Nairobi – Ol Pejeta” number=”3″ style=”default”]Morning training session. Breakfast and departure at 9:00 AM (approx. 4-hour drive). Lunch stop: Fresh trout at the Trout Tree Restaurant – a treehouse-style restaurant built around a fig tree.
Afternoon safari in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with visits to:

  • Chimpanzee Sanctuary
  • The world’s last northern white rhinos
  • Feeding “Baraka” the blind rhino

Exit the park by 6:00 PM. Optional on Mon, Wed, Fri: “Run in the Wild” program – jog inside the conservancy accompanied by rangers.
Accommodation: The Maiyan
Facilities: Outdoor gym, basketball/tennis court, swimming pool, mountain bikes, mini-golf, horse riding.

Ambience: A balance of athletic challenge, wildlife immersion, and relaxation – designed to push your body while feeding your curiosity.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 4. Ngare Ndare Forest – Waterfalls & Canopy walk” number=”4″ style=”default”]Morning workout followed by breakfast. Departure by 9:00 AM to Ngare Ndare Forest – an ancient indigenous forest at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Guided hike with a ranger to turquoise waterfalls (constant altitude gain from 1,800 m to 2,300 m). Distance: 3.5 km / Duration: 1–1.5 hours.

Activities:

  • Optional swim at the waterfalls
  • Stretching session en route back
  • Walk along a 400-meter suspended canopy bridge

Return to hotel. Evening workout and dinner. Experience Highlight: This forest experience combines soft adventure, elevation adaptation, cold-water recovery and forest bathing for a truly holistic fitness day.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 5. Trek to Mount Kenya Base Camp (optional summit attempt)” number=”5″ style=”default”]Early breakfast and departure by 7:00 AM. Drive to Sirimon Gate, start point for the hike to Old Moses Camp (3,300 m). Main luggage stays with drivers; light packs only for the trek. Meet with professional mountain guides. Full-day trek (7–10 hours) to Shipton’s Camp (4,200 m).
Terrain: Alpine moorlands with gradual ascents and descents; expect high-altitude vegetation, including the famous giant lobelias. Lunch en route (hot picnic). Dinner at the mountain hut.
Optional Summit Climb:
At 1–2 AM (weather-dependent), night departure for Point Lenana (4,985 m) – 4-hour climb.
Watch the sunrise from the summit, then descend back to camp (1.5–2 hours).
Note: Accommodation is in mountain huts (basic but warm and secure).
Ambience: This is the physical and symbolic peak of the program – a high-altitude challenge for those prepared to summit one of Africa’s most iconic peaks.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 6. Descent & return to Nanyuki” number=”6″ style=”default”]Breakfast at camp. Regardless of whether participants summited, descent begins by 9:00 AM back to Old Moses. Transfer back to the hotel in Nanyuki for rest and recovery. Late dinner at the lodge.Accommodation: Soames Hotel
A peaceful country-style lodge with views of Mount Kenya, ideal for post-hike relaxation.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 7. Flight to Masai Mara” number=”7″ style=”default”]Morning open-air stretching session. Breakfast, then transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for flight to Maasai Mara.
Flight departs ~11:00 AM (subject to luggage limit: 15 kg in soft bags – private aircraft available upon request). Arrival and transfer to lodge for lunch. First game drive in the afternoon. Optional evening gym workout. Dinner (drinks not included). Accommodation: Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Facilities: Gym, spa, safari experiences, panoramic views.[/itinerary]

[itinerary title=”Day 8. Masai Mara” number=”8″ style=”default”]Morning training session. Full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Late afternoon visit to a traditional Maasai village – learn about their culture, customs, and community life. Dinner: Bush dinner under the stars (same lodge). Afternoon cctivities – boat safari on Lake Naivasha  and walking safari on Crescent Island (home to zebras, giraffes, antelopes). Dinner at the hotel
Accommodation: Naivasha Sopa Resort
Facilities: Gym, pool, football pitch, tennis court. Wildlife freely roaming on-site.[/itinerary]

Arrival in Nairobi. Lunch: At Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens – set in the historic estate of the famous author of Out of Africa. Evening flight home or transfer to Diani Beach for the optional beach fitness camp.
