Route & safety concept
This expedition is designed with maximum safety and maximum wilderness immersion in mind. We do not cycle on main public highways. All cycling takes place inside:
A jeep accompanies the group throughout all cycling sections (except Ngong Forest, Nairobi)

Lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Afternoon cycling inside Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary https://www.ngongroadforest.com/ . The ride takes place entirely within protected forest territory. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner at Ankole Grill or Habesha Restaurant (not included)[/itinerary]
[itinerary title=”Day 3. Nairobi – Great Rift Valley – Naivasha” number=”3″ style=”default”]Breakfast and departure toward the Great Rift Valley. Stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint. Switch from jeep to bicycles and begin the descent into the Rift Valley – riding takes place on selected low-traffic routes and scenic back roads. There is no prolonged riding on major highways. Support jeep follows at all times. Lunch boxes and water provided. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Estimated riding time: from 2.5 to 5 hours (with breaks)
NOTE. The transfer to Naivasha can also be done entirely by vehicle. Upon arrival, you may relax at the resort and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or take a short optional cycling ride around Lake Naivasha[/itinerary]

Hell’s Gate Park – cycling safari” number=”4″ style=”default”]Early breakfast and departure for cycling safari inside Hell’s Gate National Park https://www.kws.go.ke/hells-gate-national-park to ride among zebra, giraffe, buffalo and antelope. Picnic lunch inside the park. Hell’s Gate – one of the few parks in Africa where cycling among wildlife is permitted.
All cycling is conducted inside the park- no public road riding. Support jeep follows at all times
After the ride, relaxation at Ol Karia Geothermal Spa. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

Drive (jeep) to Lake Elementaita (approximately 40 minutes). All riding takes place within conservancy territory – no highway exposure. Lunch at a lodge near the lake. Return to Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.[/itinerary]

Beach recovery – Diani or Watamu
After the expedition, unwind on the Kenyan coast. Optional light coastal cycling routes can be arranged through palm-lined villages and quiet beach roads. Ideal for recovery and relaxation after the safari.
Amboseli cycling
Ride inside private conservancies near Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Gentle dirt tracks, open plains and frequent elephant sightings make this an unforgettable cycling safari experience.
Lake Magadi adventure ride
A more remote and rugged extension. Cycle through dramatic volcanic landscapes and semi-desert terrain south of Nairobi. Suitable for intermediate to advanced riders seeking raw scenery and fewer visitors.
Mount Kenya Highlands challenge & Lake Ellis
High-altitude training and scenic endurance riding in the foothills of Mount Kenya and cycling to Lake Ellis. Cool climate, rolling hills and strong training potential. Ideal for serious cyclists.
Cross-border extension – Tanzania Safari & Ride
Extend the journey into northern Tanzania. Combine classic jeep safari with selected cycling routes (where permitted). A unique two-country adventure.[/itinerary]
